Everyone is doing my head in with all these rants over Blur at the Brits. They were fucking amazing, end of. Not note perfect i agree, a little dishevelled and drunk i agree, loud, screamy and mental i agree, but that is what it is all about. 

To me, they are like a national treasure, they would categorically hate anyone saying that about them but it is true. They were a key part in changing British music and putting the UK back on the map in the 90s. They were part of a movement that was inspirational and signified change and moving on from a dark period in British history. Alongside Oasis, Pulp, Suede and many other bands they were incredible.

I am proud to say these bands were the soundtrack to my childhood, and i am proud to see most of them back in the limelight now. When you look at how many other bands and artists they have influenced, they deserve respect.
